Our Regional Community is stronger when crime and the many rippling negative effects of crime, including fear of crime, are kept consistently low. In the Richmond Region, particularly in the City, crime is a constant concern, and the resulting fear of crime has debilitating effects on the quality of life in the Region, SO, in an effort to create a safer community and reap the benefits of perceived safety, TWS has developed the Citizens Against Crime Initiative, designed to engage and direct the citizens of the Richmond Region to stand together in a collective effort to reduce crime in the Region, particularly violent crime, and its effects on our lives and our society by committing to consistently strengthen the fabric of the Richmond Regional Community, and foster mutual respect and appreciation for Richmond’s cultural and ethnic diversity.
