Our Regional Community is stronger when a common identity is felt among all members of the community. In the Richmond Region, the greatest common bond for all members of the Richmond Regional Community is our water source, the James River, and the visual image that best represents the entire Region is the James River, SO, in an effort to take maximum advantage of our multi-faceted natural resource, TWS has developed the James River Initiative, designed to support and coordinate efforts that strengthen the river and to brand the James River as the icon for the Richmond Region - helping to craft a regional identity that will lead to a Proud, Unified Richmond Regional Community.
